I recently got Burnout Paradise for the Ps3 and I start it up, do the 9 hour update(not joking), sign up, accept the agreement, then it gets stuck at "connecting to paradise city servers" forever. I've tried every search engine and solution I could think of but nothing helped. Does anyone here know what I'm supposed to do? I know my internet is hooked up fine and all my other games play online fine.

keep trying just quit and try again if it fails and if it is on disk uninstall the saved data and try again BUT i must stress only do it if it is on disk and if you are confident in it to work, if it still doesn't, pray you still have the receipt.

Delete it and retry downloading. Although that 9 hour update sounds like something is going on with your router.

A 9 hour update? Are you serious? I had a 7 hour update for FF11 but it is an mmo so it is kind of expected. Is it because of your connection or is this a regular occurence on the PS3?

I doubt it happens a lot but I Haven't had a ps3 for very long so I don't have many games, so far this is the only one thats taken so long.

I don't get any lag on any of my online enabled games and my internet browser works fine.

Uninstall and return or sell it.
It really isn't very good, especially when compared to the Burnouts of last generation.
