I need some help.

Alright, first off, a few things. One, I'd prefer not to make a thread about this but I need many different opinions. Two, the title is a tad misleading and this brings me to my third semi-related point, this might qualify for gaming discussion but I put it here.

Okay, so what I am looking for are some decent freeware games. I have played a few but many have not worked and I really want some good games. I have a PC if that helps. A title and a link would be awesome! Any help would be much appreciated and I'll be sure to thank you personally if your suggestion is great. Oh, by the way, I forgot to say that the games cannot be online based. Sorry.

I can't vouch for this with certainty, but I'm pretty sure the first System Shock is freeware now.

It's kind of agricultural compared to what we're used to now, but well worth seeking it out.

Try looking up "Spelunky". Its a pretty fun platformer made by Derek Yu. Its kind of hard though.

God of Thunder, One Must Fall 2097, and Wacky Wheels I think are all freeware now and pretty damn fun. Might need DosBox to run them though.

Well if your broadband limit is high you could try and get Mechwarrior 4 from somewhere (is now freeware). Otherwise try Yathzee's point and click games, 1213 is probably the best (in my opinion). Some others: Warning Forever, Black Shades (decent fps, once you get your head around it), Battle of Endor/Yavin (space sims that are surprisingly addictive, Endor is more refined). That's all I can think of at the moment.

Go to armorgames.com and mofunzone.com I go there all the time, and I also recomend sonny,sonny2,last stand, and last stand 2 specifically, those are good places to and some good games to play.
