What action does a man do on two legs, a dog on three, and a woman while sitting down?
Shake hands, obviously.

This is a hard one: I want everyone to have a go :)

To me, death is before life, pregnancy is after birth and the future is before the past.
What am I?

When is a door not a door?

When it's ajar.

Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came sweetness.

There are two answers: A lion, and honey. Google Samson's Riddle.

I was in the woods when I got it,
so I sat down to seek it.
I couldn't find it no matter how hard I looked,
so I took it home with me.

What is it?
a splinter

The man who made it does not want it
The man who buys it does not need it.
The man who needs it does not know it.

What is it?

Here's one that I made myself. It was originally intended to be a puzzle poem but ultimately became a straight-up riddle.

To warmth, I am the frozen blight
And I am evil to all good;
I am darkness to the light
And barren waste to grass and wood.

I'm what makes the rich turn poor;
I'm what makes the cup run dry;
I'm the source of every war
And what makes the living die.

Know that I am everywhere,
Oppressive as a tyrant's fist;
Know too that I am nowhere,
For technically I don't exist.

What am I?

A raven. How is it like a writing desk?

Lewis Carroll wrote on both.
Perhaps I just heard it differently, but I thought it was
Edgar Allen Poe wrote on both

The stuff about wars and the rich is making me think of either Time or Greed, although both are probably wrong.
