Thanks. Yeah, this poem is meant to be hard. I don't think anybody has ever guessed it, seeing as how the answer is deeply engrained into my personal mentality.

I'll give one last hint before I finally reveal the answer:

Every single sentence is meant literally.
Yeah, that's what I thought. That's why it's so damn hard.

The most annoying line of all though is:
Kimarous said:
For technically I don't exist.
That drives me mad as hell. It's even worse now that I know you're being literal and not figurative. That one line instantly voids any of the answers I was going to give...

Alas, the answer is technically what you just said... the void of anything; or to rephrase it more clearly, absence.
Kimarous said:
To warmth, I am the frozen blight - Cold is the absence of heat.
And I am evil to all good; - Evil is the absence of good.
I am darkness to the light - Darkness is the absence of light.
And barren waste to grass and wood. - The absence of organic life.

I'm what makes the rich turn poor; - Absence of wealth
I'm what makes the cup run dry; - Absence of content
I'm the source of every war - Variable, depending on the war... absence of understanding, wealth, hope, etc.
And what makes the living die. - Death is the absence of life.

Know that I am everywhere,
Oppressive as a tyrant's fist;
- The void of space
Know too that I am nowhere,
For technically I don't exist.
- Absence is technically nothing.

I was going to say "loss", but I thought it sounded corny.

Nice riddle though, the best-written one I've seen in a while.

"What walks on four legs in the morning, two at noon and three at night?"

"That's simple, a man. A man as a baby crawls on four legs, walks on two and when he needs a cane walks on three."

"So close, but wrong. The answer to all three is a baby. You see, it begins as a baby with four legs, then you rip on two of its legs where is wiggles around, then if you tie a cane to one of its stumps it can hobble around a bit."

"That's horrible, how could you joke like that?"

"Simple, madam, it's not my baby."

Cookie for anyone who gets the reference.

So you drop a tennis ball down a hole. The hole is too deep and oddly shaped to reach your hand in through to get it, the the ground is too hard to dig, and the ball is almost three feet down. What five letter word do you use to get the ball?
its the riddler from batman arkham asylum

Sadly you were already beat to it, the person who said it was a page or two back.

I'll give you a cookie anyways.

Come on, people, solve my riddle!

What word contains all the letters of the alphabet?

Clue: Don't think too hard about it...
Would it be "alphabet" by ne chance?

The following number is the only one of its kind: 8,549,176,320. Can you figure out what is so special about it?

Something to do with the fact it goes from 0 - 9 ... ?

How about:

It can save your life in a hot situation, but when you get too close, it may vanish.

What is 'it'?

How about a broom? You put in the corner when you are done sweeping.

My turn: I am wearing 20 coats but my old one is the one I wear on the outside. What am I?

Also, a riddle from the Sphinx. Ten nails, ten lies, pallbearers true; take a little, leave a little, yet it hangs askew.

To this day, I haven't figured it out.
Did you also have the Dungeons and Dragons Sphinx? I love the riddle!
After asking a friend she suggested Life and Death

Oh, for the love of...

This thread is two and a half years old!

Move on, people. Move on. Nothing to see here. Just another necro'd thread.
