That's brilliant!
You've made me want to go play D&D now...
Thanks. Feel free to use the idea. I promise I won't hit you with an intellectual property lawsuit.

I did try to make a concept drawing, but I'm not all that happy with it. Do whatever you want with it.
I'm afraid I failed a bit at some proportions and stuff. Tried to make him appear somewhat hunched over and the result was more that he looked funny.
And then there's the whole issue with reflections in the blood.

I imagined it as having blood running from its eyes so that the face would be obscured. Thus sidestepping any complaints by players along the lines of "If he's a time-apparition of Steve, why didn't we recognize him?"

As a bonus, the trail of blood it leaves makes it really easy for other monsters to follow the party. Might attract wolves and such.

Edit: Aha, I've figured out what it is that makes the torso look like it's not hunched over.
Man, I need to study some more anatomy and positioning of the body.

Instead of them all meeting in an inn, the inn meets in them!

Or alternatively, get a copy of the D&D supplement dealing with horror campaigns.

2) One of the players is a "mole", or possessed, and the other players need to find out who.
Or better: The players are led to believe one of them is a mole, when in fact this is not the case.

Once they're done with uni, they will have lots of biiiiiills... woooooooooooooo.

Work that into your campaign somehow. The existential horror will kill them.
