I was watching a programme yesterday that we have in the UK called come dine with me and a song came on. I googled the episode it said series 25 episode 133 i couldnt find a stream anywhere so i could shazam it. Im not even a big fan of the show its just annoying me what this song is

Basically the song goes: la la la la lala la (i know thats really helpful) its sounds like a relatively old song (anywhere between late 60s and early 80s) im sure its a popular song ive heard it a few times before. Its kinda folky and poppy

So basically just through song titles at me that meet this critera (dates arent accurate just a rough guess). Youtube link if possible

Or try and find me a link to download/stream the episode

Was it this by any chance? I'm sure I've heard it on there before.

Alternatively, it could have been Crocodile Rock, because I know they fucking love playing that song on Come Dine With Me:

Skip about a minute in to get the la la la bit.

Just a shot in the dark... Could it have been Pink?
Or, maybe Elm?

Okay, the only other one I can think of at the moment that fits the bill --which I'm also sure I heard on the show-- is this:

I'll post more if I think of any.

Okay, can you remember in what region of the UK the show was filmed in, by any chance? They often pick famous artists from that area as the background music.

I'm just thinking if they were up in Scotland, then it might have been something by the Bay City Rollers.

Also, just a pot shot, but there is no band on Earth more fond of their la la la's than Suede:

The last minute of the second song is exclusively made up of la's; and I've definitely heard these on the show before, (Channel 4 seem to love them some Suede.)

Damn, and here I thought my scientific methodology of Googling "La La La La La La La" had paid off!

Was it Van Morrison?

Perhaps it was The Carpenters. Unfortunately I get ill every time I hear any of their songs. Listen at your own risk!
Ugh, they give me the chills, and not the good kind.
