So after I shovel off my driveway, I start shaking. Like, full on quivering. This has been going on for about half an hour, and I'm kinda worried. Drinking a soda helped a lot, but it's still there. Does anyone know what might make it go away? This has happened to me a few times before, but they were usually right after a test or something, so I just chalked it up to stess.

EDIT: It's passed now... and it never did happen before after exercise, so that wan't the problem. I was worried for a while that I had Diabetes on top of mild OCD, but I don't think diabetes would have gone away after a soda and some help from the best damn website ever.

Sit down and chillax for a bit if it's stress. Otherwise see a doctor, they're way more knowledgable in this stuff then we are.

Maybe a potassium deficiency?

Eat a banana or something. Maybe you're just hungry.

Or it could be low blood sugar. That would explain why the soda helped.

I'd guess your blood sugar is low. Eat something.

Eat something. Then eat something else. Keep eating until something interesting happens or the shaking goes away.

This is the most likely explanation, as it was right after exercise.

However, I'd suggest seeing a doctor as well.

Julian is right about the low blood sugar. It could also be a panic attack. There doesn't always need to be a reason to feel stressed. It could be your body's fight or flight system being activitaed by the physical cue of feeling exhausted.

Why did you come to the Escapist with this? Seeing a doctor will probably do you more good.

Shivering after working/excersizing, stress related, goes away after eating, my guess would be a lack of potassium, low blood sugar due to not eating enough/right, or in the worst case even diabetes.
Note that I'm not a doctor, merely conserned. If it really has been going on for so long, think about seeing a doctor or something man...

If you're not shaking because it's cold, you might have some sort of blood sugar issue.

Probably just too much exercise if you're not in shape. If your muscles aren't used to heavy exertion (a.k.a. snow shovelling) the muscle will sometimes fire uncontrollably due to tears in the muscle tissue. Should go away soon. Just bear with it and try to relax in a comfy chair.

Eat something

I'm always curious about the health questions that pop up on the Escapist, why ask a forum full of gamers/writers/artists/nerds for health info?
