Modern Warfare 2. I hated WaW, and I hated COD4 for all the unbalanced perks, unbalanced weapons, shitty spawns, shitty kill streak rewards that encouraged people to camp and got you cheap kills, a shitty community, shitty maps that favour one side, terrible servers always resulting in "host ended game" or something, skilless sniping, shitty single players that could be finished in a day and the ability to spray all you like.

I don't know why I bought Modern Warfare 2. I guess my friends kinda pushed me into buying it. It was even worse than the two before it. COD has gone to shit since COD2.

My last regretted gaming purchase was Dragon Age: Origins. I lost interest in it after 10-20 hours.
same here, except replace the words "lost interest" with "ran out of health poulices in the middle of the nightmare fade"

although It wasn't really a purchase, I borrowed it from my friend, and I let him borrow mass effect.

who cares about multiplayer, when the game's best part is the campaign?

Hmm the first thing that came to mind was the time I rented Two Worlds. What a horrible waste of $7...

Which lasts four hours......and has pretty much no story or continuity.

Biggest culprit for me is The Conduit for the Wii. There was potential here (sort of), but the only thing the devs really showed off was the engine it used (I think its called Quantum 3, but dont quote me on it). Even the engine wasn't that groundbreaking, just water ripples and some decent-ish lighting in places. I got bored of the story around the time I was in a mansion somewhere, the guns look like rejects pulled out of the Halo dustbin (with the exception of one, called the Striker I think). The multiplayer was just bland and quickly forgetable. I can't think of any other FPS that pulls off the 'too generic for its own good' look as well as The Conduit does. If there is, feel free to post them.

Nightmare fade? If I remember right, that place was one hell of a pain in the ass. I think I gave up on trying to get through it out of boredom.

The force unleashed: Not that great of a story, bullshit enemies, way too short, and cheap ass level design.
GTA 4: Didn't like how the vehicles handled, some really annoying characters, too brown at some times, no rockets mounted on choppers, no parachutes, and no planes. (I know they add some things with the dlc but what I listed should have come with the original.
Halo 2: I bought it after I had halo 3 and realized that it's single player licked ass. I disliked every thing about it; from game mechanics to level design.

Wii because it's a pain only being able to start it up with the Wii mote and I the game library ain't so good.

Brawl, God what a bad game. I can't believe what they did to it, Nintendo and HAl have definitely lost their touch.

It does have story, a rather good on at that. Stop being such a baby.
You bought the game after hating the last 2 for having unbalanced multiplayer?
Your own stupid fault for doing so.
Fanboy much? He didn't like the game in anyway and thats his opinion, also it's IW's fault if the game is unbalanced so stop getting offended and flaming please.

I know some people might kill me for this, but I really regretted buying Assassins creed 2. I don't know why, but I just dislike it.

The story was absolute shit which is about as good as you get from Infinty Ward. There was plot twists out of nowhere one after the other, some of which made NO sense whatsoever and it all ends in a giant, unsatisfying cliffhanger obviously leading to the inevitable churning out of another game. Plot twists are good and all but but doing twists like that to the point of confusion and ridiculousness does a good game not come'th forth.

Rainbow Six 3 on the xbox was my most disappointing purchase. It was a shadow of the pc version, except with less levels, less weapons, poor ai, buggy controls and a slow frames-per-second count.

I still fucking LOVE Raven Shield though!!!

and yes...it is bl;oody hard. I even put it aside for some wipeout racing. but I will never regret buying one of the most awesome games ever (and for the PSP..one of the spare few)

regrets for buying? pokemon sapphire or whatever it was. god damn. they managed to make that game even more annoying with the mountain of madness that you have to trawl through over three times. arrrrg
