I passed out today.

Slipped on the ice once, landed on the back of my head. Got blind for like 5 seconds, I panicked pretty bad. Terrible feeling but I can laugh at it now, thanks to a friend.

Me: Arrghhh!! I cant see anything!
Idiotic friend: (Holding up fingers) How many fingers can you see?!
Me: I cant see ANY damn fingers!!

For discussion, has anyone else on the escapist passed out or had a seizure or have any interesting medical stories to share?

Hm. Had your head checked? I remember a story told by a teacher about one of her students getting a hard hit on the head. A few hours later he died from... internal bleeding or something.
Perhaps it was just to scare us from punching each other in the head. ._o

OT: I once left a party at some shady dudes house at 1 am. To come to my place it was a 10 minute walk, however, four hours later at 5 am my mother saw my struggling to get the door open. She went back to bed, but when I hadn't come in after fifteen minutes she checked outside again where I had decided to get some sleep on the ground.
I reckon I got drugged since I wasn't that drunk to begin with(he offered me some whiskey that I accepted).

Not sure if it qualifies to passing out, but I have no clue what I did after I left that party. I just remember waking up in a bed full of puke.

I haven't, but having the bad luck I have, I managed to cause both.

Short story even shorter, what it was was me slamming someone with a door (I know, ha ha, I'm so funny), except I managed to hit the guy some nerve near the elbow or something, so the guy walks off and just passes out while walking thru the corridor. After around 20 seconds, he starts waking up, except he has like a 5 second seizure before being able to stand up, continuing to twitch a little for a short while. The only damage he seems to have had from the whole deal was a bruised chin and a chipped tooth (landing with your jaw FTFW, so lucky he didn't bite his tongue off).

So there.

He didn't know he was already dead.

I passed out in the midst of a pushup in basic training... lack of oxygen. I had septic pneumonia... and when I got to the nearest medical clinic, they performed a spinal tap on me to check for meningitis. Good times, good times...

Ooh, also... during a dry-run practice for a company change of command ceremony, this time it wasn't me, but a guy in front of me locked his knees at the position of attention and fell into me when he passed out.

I passed out 3 times in my life ,all of them were caused by heat ,once after spending too much time on the beach ,another was caused by my retarded diet and shitty cramped supermarket ,3rd one was also at a supermarket but it was in the middle of winter so i`m not sure what the hell happened ,all i know is that i was hot for some reason and thankfully i didn't pass out on anything valuable.

I nearly died when my mother gave birth to me, i nearly chocked on the umbilical cord.
I had another accident when i was about 2 years old. I fell and hitted my jaw on the floor and some of my teeths pierced my "jaw skin?" from what i have been told, i losed alot of blood. Still got a little scar to remind me from that.

Yep, there hasn't been anything "special" after that.. atleast yet.

Yeah I have passed out. I had influenza and was running a high temperature. That was at school. Another time I had pneumonia and passed out at home. My (then) roommates found me and I had to go to hospital. It wasn't all that fun.

Apparently I have some blood pressure problem, it can occasionally cause me to sort of pass out (like when you stand up too fast, but it doesn't matter what position I'm in)
On top of that I have this coughing problem that can starve my brain of oxygen? so yeah I can pass out because of that too.

I passed out from helium as a kid, but every other time I've passed out it's been from drugs.

i sometimesz have spontanius nosebleads and once managed to sprain my neck by walking down a coridor.
