Wow...Ok, I can see that you're stuck in that little bubble of your's, but I sincerely hope that one day you pop yourself out of it because unconditionally hating a group of people that find comfort in something YOU don't believe/like is inane.Pirate Kitty said:Christians worship and thank a god that has wrought terrible, terrible suffering upon this world.Tips_of_Fingers said:Unfortunately by that, you have just fed me proof of your ignorance.Pirate Kitty said:I see no ignorance.Tips_of_Fingers said:I love how the first two are obviously hated for being ignorant and pig-headed...much like you are acting for stating Christians as being people you can't stand.Pirate Kitty said:Racists.
Homophobes.
Christians.
OT: I can't stand people who try to change who I am; be it family, work, friends girlfriends etc.
I know what Christians stand for.
I dislike it.
Ta-da.
Just because you dislike the religion doesn't mean that you should hate all followers of that religion. I dislike much of Christian teaching but I still have friends who follow it... I dislike certain types of music but I don't forsake all who listen to them. etc etc.
Anyone that sings the praise of a god capable of creating rape, death, famine, drug abuse and natural disasters that displace and orphan millions upon millions is no person I wish to know.
Pretty much this. Man those people are asshats.khaimera said:People who post in forums.
I'm confuzzled. Why single out Christianity specifically when every religion amounts to the same basic concepts?Pirate Kitty said:Why on Earth would I want anything to do with people who "Find comfort" in such a monstrous, evil cult of death? These people thank the very thing that made pain and sadness. Any horror you can fathom, their god, the one they praise, is to blame for its creation. Devoting your life to that - now that sounds insane to me.
Considering what my partner has been through, there is zero chance of her getting on her knees and thanking a god.
So you'd rather generalise based on the sins of the past when people were less educated and much stupider than they are now, rather than make a proper argument as to why you single out Christianity? You do realise that every single argument you've made in this thread as to why Christianity is bad can be applied to most of the major religions, right?Pirate Kitty said:No other religion has caused so much death and suffering.
"Hun"? Really? You are aware how condescending that sounds, right?Pirate Kitty said:Yes. Most religion is bad. Like I said, however, hun - "No other religion has caused so much death and suffering."
I have a friend who does this all the time -.-' Its now an 'in' joke to my group of friends.. Having said that, I cant stand:Slash Dementia said:-People who change a subject about you to a subject about themselves and run with it, never letting you lead the conversation again.

I find rape, murder, suicide, drug abuse, self abuse, poverty, starvation, drowning, asphyxiation, animals brutally slaughtering each other to survive, forest fires leaving their inhabitants to die in agony, children born with aids, mothers dying during labor, and all the rest, a little more than just distasteful.
If they want to get on their knees and thank the creator for those, I'm more than happy to be intolerant if it means being far away from them.
Well who were you referring to by the bolded content, then? Cos it sure ain't Christians.Pirate Kitty said:That isn't a straw man argument, sweetie.Kyoufuu said:Cannot stand people who make extreme straw man arguments.

You have no idea what you're talking about, I take it. If your whole experience of Christians is from the vocal, way over the top minority, and you believe that is representative of the whole, then I have a bridge to sell you to Terebithia. I guarantee you I have seen more people pray than you have, and probably ever will. Being brought up in a Catholic family tends to mean that I have more experience of Christianity.Pirate Kitty said:You've never seen a Christian pray, I take it.Kyoufuu said:SNIPPY
