I'm a really big fan of grilled salmon myself, loads of choice as to what to serve it with, but I like it on a bed of plain rice with a nice sauce, no particular sauce just whatever I happen to be able to make up at the time.

I came into this thread getting ready to rage at some CoD hate thread.
Instead I was pleasantly surprised!
On topic, I'm no fan of Cod either, I prefer Haddock. They should stop farming Cod for a while and let their numbers increase a bit, otherwise they'll be endangered sooner or later.

Honestly? it's better than Halo. Or rather, I find COD on PC more palpable than say on console. I really can't get on with console controls, and if you watch videos of console players they get away with this that PC players would get punished for.

I can't think of anything I hate more than Cod, but when it comes to fish I really only like sushi. Seriously, FUCK CoD.
I used to love cod but I am sick of all the crappy chippies that have their cheap batter.
Breadcrumbs or I basically throw up now. I blame highschool, I swear they barely cook the fish properly, let alone the batter being godawful.
But yeah there are better fish. Mackrel and sardines are nice, Tuna and Trout are VERY good, but my favourite is salmon.

For many years I had a nostalgic yearning for Smoked Cod with mashed potatoes and peas, a staple from my childhood. I ate some about a year ago, I can say this Smoked Cod is not like X-Com or Baldur's Gate, it is just the nostalgia that makes it seem good. Yuck. Fresh cod is nice, I'm not even sure it is a "true" cod (a lot of our animals have misleading names because they somewhat resemble european animals) but sleepy cod is a very nice freshwater fish. I myself tend to prefer saltwater fish as they seem to work with South East Asian flavours better.
