I really need help with my USB!

Yesterday my USB was working fine but to day when I went to use it on one of the computers at school it would not work at all. Now it won't even load on my computer at home and if I can't get it working I would have lost ALL of my school work, two pieces are due at the end of the week...

This is the error that I am getting when I plug it into my computer. Sometimes that won't even come up, it's as if my USB is undetectable.

If anyone can help me at all I would very much appreciate it as I really do not want to have to copy out my drafts and then fix them up again!

Does it appear there?

I had a problem a few weeks ago when my hard drive decided to not work properly. It would turn up in 'computer' (originally called 'my computer') But, i couldn't actually access it. I did something with windows to repair it. I can't remember exactly what I did but, it was probably somewhere in the drives properties (if you right click on the drive in computer you can then go down the little list that appears to properties. I It may not be in there though. I'm just guessing. But it was called something with the word 'repair' in it and I got it to repair the hard drive (it took a little while to repair it) and it started working again and still works fine.

If you can't find what you're looking for try googling something like 'windows hard drive repair tool' or something like that. Hope you get it working.
