Okay, So i finally found Iron Maiden. Yes I did it a little late, Hush you. Specificlly I found Run To the Hills. I.E that metal/rock song I have been humming the chorus to for god knows how long. Anyhew, can you guys recommend some more songs to listen to? Specificlly ones that I can actually understand the lyrics to and sing along with. If I get one Screamo song by gosh darn it I will spank you mister!
First, big difference between harsh vocals and screaming, but I'll let that go by. I can give you a pile of Power Metal, clean vocals, epic music, you should like it.
By the way, I highly recommend Avantasia. They pull in a ton of guest musicians, so many amazing Power Metal vocalists, even Alice Cooper for one song.
And I can recommend some other stuff, nothing too heavy or anything. Mostly the big bands like Judas Priest, along with some of my favourites.
Only "harsh" song I'll include, because it's hilarious. Side project of Tim Lambesis from As I Lay Dying, all the songs are about Arnold Schwarzenegger, kinda. Vocals are credited to "Arnie".
I could probably give you a few more, but I'll leave it at this.

Thanks for all the recommendations from everyone! Power metal is definitely my thing, singing along to awesome epic music is one of the greatest things in life. I especially like that Avantasia song (and Blind guardian, but I had already heard of them via Robot unicorn attack: heavy metal), Definitely worth getting! Thanks!
Ensiferum! They're so metal the solo in this one is banjo and jazz piano. It also goes a bit spaghetti western at one point. Fuck yeah! (They normally have guitars, but banjo solos are pretty metal). The vocals are a bit harsh, but I can always understand what he's saying.
Also Korpiklaani are cool. It's hard to sing along to some songs though because they sing it in a language I can't even pronounce. They also do a lot of songs about drinking.

They cover classic game/ cartoon themes, and are really good at it. They're a fun band, since they keep the feeling of the original song, like with their cover of The Simpsons.
