I Slept With My Best Friend's Sister...

And I want to know if I should feel bad.

It happened about 3 years ago. We kept hanging out in secret later, but broke up about a month before I moved out of state. We didn't tell anybody about it because we thought it might be awkward, so we never mentioned it.

Earlier this morning, however, my friend, Mark, called me, and told me that Elizabeth, his sister, had told him about it last night. I thought this was going to go over horribly, but to my surprise he said he didn't mind. He even told me that apparently their parents already knew, and also had no problems with it.

However, I can't shake the feeling that what I did was wrong. I mean, we were both the same age, we both consented and she was on birth control, and nothing bad came out of it.

So, is it right for me to still feel bad, or am I just over-reacting?

Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone does it, just not as many people are open about it.

I can see where you're coming from and why you feel bad. Sleeping with someone's sister is kind of breaking some kind of unwritten bro-code. But at the end of the day, it happened a while back and no one's feeling's were hurt and no one's upset. So just relax, man.

High five!

Yea, seriously, by the sounds of it, you are the only person that gives a toss about it, so its really not worth losing any sleep over.

I don't have any experience on the subject but it's natural to feel bad about it, the unwritten rule between friends is 'you don't sleep with your friends relatives' but if he's ok with it then don't worry about it too much.
The only I advice I can give is make sure he's really ok with it because he might be bottling it under the surface.

Technically you broke the man-code (sisters are a no go), but if no one cares then props to you.

Why would you have to be? She's a woman of consenting age, she can make her own damn choices.

Stop worrying about it. And put that type of thinking out of your head. It has a fuck load of negative connotations that nobody ever thinks about.

The Man Code does not cover sisters. Its just not recommended, becuase then friendship suffers if you two hook up.

No, you didnt do anyhting wrong. If you both wanted to do it, if her parents dont care, and her bro doesnt care, then its fine. Actually, its probably better, becuase your friend can trust you to treat her right, so he may be a bit glad.

You both wanted it right? No hard feeling between you two after?

No worries, i'm in the same boat, but mine only a year and a half ago, no regrets here.

I'm actually kind of jealous...haven't received the "Best Friend's Sister" achievement yet. Props to ya! Now it will always make a good story.

Umm...so what? Why would you feel bad? You both agreed, its not like either party was forced into it. Do you feel like a dick because it was your friends sister? If so, don't. He rather have a best friend with his sister because he knows your not a douche then a guy he doesn't know who has the possibility to be one dating his sister.

In essence, relax.

Yes. Yes you should. If I state my reasons, however, I'll be pole axed by the entire forum.

If everyone's cool with it, then you have nothing to worry about. I mean, really. If only all relationships went over that smoothly, the world would be a happier place.

People have consensual sex!?

I don't see why it would matter, you were having sex with her, not him. Get over it.
