If you don't let yourself get het up about everything Diablo III is an extremely good dungeon crawler, probably the best in the genre. The downside is it being online only is very occasionally slightly inconvenient. So long as your own internet is stable as a practical downside it's nowhere near as bad as the way Human Revolution makes you watch half a dozen logos before it loads each time.
Now if you don't have good Internet or you want to stand up for others who don't by all means continue, but you shouldn't have been surprised to be in a vanishingly small minority. Practicality always wins out in these matters.
Oh and OP update your damn OS, take a deep breath and if you can try again. I have no idea what you possibly could have expected to change in the first 10 minutes, but if your problem wasn't in the loot system, the auction house, the difficulty level, character balance, the number of interesting builds, the slow start or the replayability at endgame (none of which you'd be able to see at all in 10 minutes) then Diablo III might not have fixed your particular personal irritation.
