One of your melée characters (You or Alistair) should concentrate on shield spells and put points into Constitution (the bottom stat), or if you have the Stone Prisoner DLC, go get the golem. He has lots of health and absorbs damage. You want 1 character to be taking damage(Constitution stat), 2 others to be doing damage(strength for melee, dexterity for bows, magic for magic) and one to be healing(magic & willpower stats with healing spells selected - they all have pictures similar to the + symbol). Get Wynn from the Mage's Tower as she starts as a healer, most people reccommend using Alistair or Shale (the DLC golem) as a tank.LWS666 said:the majority in strength but some in dexterity.
It's a tough game. Don't lose heart, and follow the advice people give on this thread:LWS666 said:yes, i know i am a n00b but i can't play dragon age. i keep dying. on the easiest difficulty.
i am a dwarf specializing in the warrior class, i am playing with morigan, alister and the guy i freed from a cage.
halp pl0x! (help please for the non-1337)
You play with no rogue?Poomanchu745 said:Seems like you are not alone and while I found only certain fights challenging a lot of people apparently suck at this game for some reason or another (most likely not used to tactical RPGS). My best advice would be to roll a mage and make sure you get a healing spell early. Then get wynne from the tower for more healing and buffs and then use morrigan and allistar. This way your group is entirely too OP for what the game had in mind and you should be able to completely dominate with little to no regard for what enemies you are running in to.
If that fails, then you really should give up and go play something else because you will most likely never get it.
Ya my first playthrough i went with a rogue so i could pick everything but found nothing useful in anything so on my 2nd time through i just said screw it and went all fire power.miracleofsound said:You play with no rogue?Poomanchu745 said:Seems like you are not alone and while I found only certain fights challenging a lot of people apparently suck at this game for some reason or another (most likely not used to tactical RPGS). I have rarely found really good loot in chests, but am always afraid I'll miss something so I take Leiliana everywhere.
Hmm... it's very tempting, more so due to Morrigan being in infinately more interesting character than the frigid Frenchie.Poomanchu745 said:Ya my first playthrough i went with a rogue so i could pick everything but found nothing useful in anything so on my 2nd time through i just said screw it and went all fire power.miracleofsound said:You play with no rogue?Poomanchu745 said:Seems like you are not alone and while I found only certain fights challenging a lot of people apparently suck at this game for some reason or another (most likely not used to tactical RPGS).
