In about 5 billion years, when the earth has spiralled close enough to the sun that we are all incinerated, and the earth is pulled into the sun shortly after.

Sometime in the next decade when yellowstone national park explodes, filling the upper atmosphere with a layer of ash that blocks the sun. All plant life dies, then we all starve to death. Either that, or same scenario with a meteor.
The progressive movement will take over. Ideological "cleansing" and population control will become the prerogative of Liberal politicians. The human species on earth will die out from disease and genocide created an increasingly bureaucratic state. Humans will live on because of capitalist colonists who long before moved off planet, first to the moons on Jupiter, and later out of our solar system.
