First of all, it's not a videogame. It's a film with interactive camera (Gone to the Rapture has more interactivity than this), which along with the sudden jerking moves from the Golliat makes it feel more real. Second, simulated rides with CGI movies running at high frame-rate have existed for decades (not in a roller-coaster though, but in closed rooms with mechanical seats that move in sync with what happens on screen). And third... why the heck not!? Let them try new things (and if it fails, it fails). Besides, some people just can't get enough exhilaration from the rides.

As mentioned, just because the OP isn't interested doesn't mean there must be a problem.

Not, it might be a gimmick that soon disappears, but that's a failed business experiment at worst, not "going too far".
