Yay! New comic! Ever since Name Game left, I kinda wished for another comic to accompany Critical Miss on here.

Something about the art stood out. Simplicity has its benefits. The lines, colors, and contrast are perfectly suited to excessive filtration in photoshop. Simple filter application gives some really interesting variations on the images.

this example really gives that lovecraftian horror vibe

So when are you going to be updating, so I can be the first to see the new comic's new comic strip... and then judge you... forever

Every Wednesday morning there will be an fresh update at your electronic doorstep.
You will be able to judge them while they're still warm.

I can't explain why, but I like this. A lot.

Maybe it's the stripped down art? Back to basics sorta thing?

I get that a lot. You are not alone, even in this thread.

Most monster encounters are preventable.
It's an issue rarely discussed openly in our society.
I am trying to raise the level of awareness.

That is the grown up octopus from the comic which was hosted here before! It is coming back! (I actually forgot the name the artist and what happened in that but it had a pink octopus in it that much I know!)

Welcome an let#s hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful comicseries.
Is there any source where we can watch your other art? Assuming that isnt the first online art.
Name Game was the comic, and the artist was (forgive if spelling is wrong) Lili Scafari.. i think... She is currently doing the art for Extra Credits.

This being an entertainment news site about Internet culture as much as anything else, my immediate first thought on seeing this is "don't feed the trolls." I suppose it could also be expanded to any sort of "don't poke it, you'll only make it worse" scenario.

In summation:

It's one of those preachy moral comics.
At least it's also kind of adorable.
They're always adorable when they're young. Then you flush 'em down te toilet, and they grow to tremendous proportions and eat your city....

Will the next comic teach us not to walk in tall grass or look strange trainers in the eye?

It's important to appear as large as possible.
Self-inflating suits are invaluable in this regard.
This applies to trainers in and out of tall grass.
This lesson was too important to await next week's post.

Nick, you have my interest. This character that you are playing (or perhaps you just "are") is bizarre and forum responsive enough to make me want more. I shall return to witness your chromatic carbon-based scribblings and partake of your dissonant banter. Cheers to you!

I FEED IT THESE!

p.s. Self inflating suits can be problematic in tall grass. Make sre you go with a puncture-proof suit or spend the effort ahead of time to sand any pointy grass blades before donning the suit. 150 grit sand paper works best.

I like it. It's the kind of silly thing the Escapist needs. Sometimes the place gets a little too preachy and it's about time we got something that's just... Entertaining. And it looks cool, too.

Your kind words fill me with describable POWER!

I don't mind the unkind words, either.
They provide ballast.

I look forward to providing you with weekly doodles
and interacting with the comments they might produce.

Non-Euclidian geometry may be involved.

So far so good! Has a very A Softer World feel, but with child-like drawings instead of photography. Can't go wrong with a concept like that.
