Beat it on normal and hard, got bored on a very hard runthrough. Probably couldn't have finished it anyway. The Castlevania stage and the ghosts and goblins area is impossible.

Eh? Since it's not trying to be art or parody (slapstick unexpected death comedy and amusing nostalgia references, yes, parody no) you're way out on two out of three. Whether it's good gaming is more subjective but I will say it's one of the few platformers where the jumping puzzles are not just genuinely top of the line challenging but are also genuinely puzzling in working out their often fiendish timing. It's a game where I play it and I don't feel like I'm just cruising half on autopilot, I'm being stimulated and challenged. Hard.

The Mario World hacks are bad enough. This stuff... It's directly comparable to someone hacking into Tekken 5 and changing Jinpachi in order to make him 100x more frustrating that he already is. What's the point? Mario World was hard enough in the secret areas. But then, I didn't devote my entire life to mastering the subtle art of jumping on stuff, so maybe somebody, somewhere is so good at platformers that only romhacks hold any challenge for him/her/it.

I'm happy to announce... I am THE GUY!

Beat it on hard and very hard, and i can usually take about 2 bosses on an Impossible! run. This game is really a lot about trying something, dying from it, and trying something else. Over and over again. Even though those might appear as flaws to some, I like it. The game always brings something unexpected with each screen, and it's really satisfying when you manage to get past that annoying screen you've been struggling with!
...And then there's the next screen...

Go ahead and try it out people! You won't be disappointed! OK, you might. You might also smash your keyboard. Or a nearby friend. Maybe you can bring someone you don't like to play it with?

Fun stuff. Beat it on hard, that was about as far as I went with it. Pretty pointlessly hard at places, and the whole game should really only be played if you have some kind of mindless dedication to beating things deemed 'impossible.' If not, play it for a bit, understand that it's frustrating, then move on.

Downloaded and played this once because I saw a friend play it and I liked the style, plus, it looked challening (in the "repeat until you get lucky"-style).

However, after having 20 game-errors through the 4 first screens, I said "fuck it" and uninstalled.

I initially had problems against Mike Tyson, but found Mecha Birdo a breeze. One of my friends, however was the exact opposite, he could beat Mike easily, but I had to beat Birdo for him (got it on my 3rd try for him).

I love it, but only got halfway through it. Couldn't be bothered to try finishing it.
I'm just not that good...

It is really hard, but I think it's lots of fun. The controls are very responsive, and it's just trial and error. I'm at the final boss, but can't quite get past it. I also think it's hilarious.
