I recently discovered Minecraft through the tubes of the internet and it looks like fun to me. So I googled my way to the main website(www.minecraft.net) and found I had to buy the full game.
Being the "Safe than sorry" buyer I am I want to try the game before I dump $13 into something that I A: Can't get a refund for, and B: Might not even like. So I opted to run the free in-browser version "Minecraft Classic." here's where the fun begins.
I click Minecraft Classic: Single Player, "This website wants to install ActiveX control" Ok then. Fine install it. Refreshs the page. The game begins to load and: "Windows has blocked the software because it can't verify the publisher."
Can anyone reccomend me a way to work around this? I thought about pireting the free version so I could have a non-browser version to work with. But that would defeat the whole purpose for multiple reasons.
Handy video showing the problem. I'd embed but I don't know how.
