Just yesterday I received an e-mail from Blizzard stating that my password had been changed. The only problem was that I hadn't changed my password.

Upon scanning my system, and doing several other things, I found that my system had contracted a virus. I of course had all threats eliminated, but then there was the matter of restoring my account.

It didn't take long to get access to my account restored, just a few minutes and I was back to being secure (along with a new password for every single one of my accounts everywhere).

The weird thing is that I received a message that some of my WoW characters had been tampered with, and that the Blizzard support staff was working to reverse the changes. I found this strange because I had no WoW time currently attached to my account, so that would make it impossible to access my characters.

I then checked my WoW subscription, and it said that my account was active. The only conclusion I can come to is that whoever hacked my battle.net account purchased time for my WoW, and as a result I have an unexpected gift from this whole endeavour.

My question to you is this. Has anything bad happened in your life that actually ended up benefitting you in any way?

I lost a pound coin in the street.
While trying to find it, I found a £5 note.

Short, simple but a good day!

Well, the last couple years have been rough on me, but they've allowed me to mature faster than I would have otherwise.

In a way, I'm thankful.

I got my girlfriend after paying one of my friends R100 ($17 or so) to ask her out as a joke. I was and still am in trouble, but that very weekend we started going out and all has gone very well in my life since then. Or, it's seemed very good anyway.

So yeah, the best thing to happen to me other than being born, started when it did because I irritated 2 of my friends in one day...

Like the usual nerd, I was mocked for no reason, which has left me misanthropic and sadistic.
Now watching people get hurts makes me laugh.

It also made me more mature, which is a double edged sword. It would seem childish to other to make comments about sex, but I do it without laughing and with a straight face.

I missed a train once and met a girl who had just missed the same train, so we ended up waiting for the next train to arrive together... Now we hang out nearly every day ^
