Before this game I can honestly last time I played my wii was when I played Super Mario Bros. Wii. That was abut a year ago from when I took a chance and bought Sonic Colors from my local HMV. And I must honestly say I was very suprised. I am not sure if Sonic Team worked with this game or not, but who ever did, they were able to bring Sonic into his best 3D game since Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, which is saying alot. I would conisder the wii to be a hard-core gaming console, due to the fact my grandma plays the wii more then I have in my life, but the games for it have been kind of disapointing. Not to say also Sonic games after the Dreamcast have been very poory made. However Sonic Colors I view as a redeemer. Sega took out the crap that they have added to some modren Sonic games, such as guns, Werehog, and too many characters(which is not bad but kind of got annoying with all of them being Sonic's friend eventually).

Sonic Colors starrs just Sonic, Tails and Baldy McNosehair or as we know as Dr. Robotnik. This is a nice way to redeem a franchise that has been broken as much as the Sonic franchise.

Basically what I am getting at is All Wii Owners(And I know there is alot of you, Don't have to hide your face in shame.) Sonic Colors is really good. It actually has a decent story, good gameplay, and for a wii game, it looks really nice. The characters and eviroments are colourful and detailed. Which is something I feel is lost in this generation of gaming. Most games look kind of dark and gritty *quote Most not all*. I am a 19 year old who played Sonic back on the Genesis and still play Sonic Adventure on my Dreamcast. I would say I am a Sega/Sonic fan, but from a Gamer a guy who loves video games. Sonic Colors is really a good game, and I hope people who read this atleast look into getting the game.

I got the game for $34.89 new. Anyway enjoy gaming

Weird. I hadn't even heard of this game. Did it get any advertising at all? I'll have to check it out (though first I'll have to get get my Wii back from my sister).

<--- Has a poster for this game.

It surprised me in that it wasn't complete ass like the recent lineup of Sonic games. And yeah, it looks good (for a Wii game).

I'd recommend it to Wii gamers out there. Certainly to Sonic fans, who badly need something to cling to.

I have the ds version, which does have significant differences, but was also pleasantly surprised. That being said, I still maintain that the series should have let water levels go back in the genesis days. Unfortunately, those still persist, but the game was quite good.

Definaltly give it a try. I don't think you would be Disapointed at all :). And I am glad I could inform you of a new Sonic Game that is actually good. IGN even gave it a 8.5 :)

Oh yes! I also definitely recommend this game. It's the best Modern Sonic game (in my opnion) after the Adventure series. And heck, it's a miracle that IGN gave it a 8.5 considering their... previous "behaviors". I never really hated Unleashed's Werehog concept but, it wasn't really developed enough. And of course, it doesn't really fit into a Sonic game (though it could with some tweaking, fit into another game). Sonic Team has really redeemed themselves in my eye, and thus, I am looking forwards to Sonic Generations.

tl;dr: I loved Sonic Colors and I suggest that if you have a Wii, that you buy or at least rent the game.

Honestly, the Sonic series is looking better now than it has in a long, long time. This and Sonic 4 have gone some way to undoing the Werehog-fuelled madness of previous games, and Sonic Generations looks pretty damn spectacular. It may have taken him a few years, but I think Team Sonic are finally getting the hang of making good Sonic games in 3D. God only knows Sonic Colors was goddam spectacular in places.

People will still ***** about how the Sonic series is in the gutter though. Once gamers decide to hate something, they really don't like to let it go.
I have heard the DS version is better than the Wii version. My friend has it for the Wii and I was thinking of picking it up for the DS.

Apparently the writers for Sonic Colors are the very same that wrote Madworld and Happy Tree Friends.

That explains the hilarious monologues from Robotnik.

Have to say, I'd written this off as another Sonic game pumped out in an effort to make some quick cash but looking at the videos posted here, it actually looks okay. Thw Wii version is certainly... psychedelic =D And the DS version is the same kind of thing we've seen since the Megadrive, and that ain't no bad thing.
