Hell, you know what other great series started as a ZP-Style-Knockoff (that is to say, some one who knock off their style, not a knock-off like ZP)? Extra. Fucking. Credits. Seriously, at the end of his first few videos on Youtube, Daniel Floyd even credited Yahtzee. So nothing wrong with taking just a bit of inspiration. This is too much, though, obviously.

First of all thats not theft. Thats copy right infringement. Secondly, he's applying an echoe and colour inversion.

My point is that he's not trying to make a profit, or actually convince anyone he owns it, he's trying to piss people off.

I don't know much about the legal system but i'll look it up...Nope unless he tried to profit from it, it is not a criminal offense, apparently plagiarism isn't even civil offense yet. I quoted you because you act like its nothing, but I'm pretty sure those who profit from the show fell more than just trolled. Its up to the escapist to decide if they want to crack down to get it pulled or ignore it at this point.

YouTube has never taken kindly to stealing, so they'll probably either freeze his account, or ban him outright for this. Apparently he was a jerk to the guy who made the custom skin his account uses, then he went and used it anyway.

All around he's not making a good case.

Someone with no skill whatsoever in the field of videomaking has stolen Yahtzees work given it a crappy recolour and posted it as his own, seeing as Yahtzee has a contract of sorts his work belongs to the site so, staff of the Escapist, is this worth action? If yes, how much?

He's added an echo to the sound and recoloured the visual so the video doesn't get pulled by YouTube's automatic copyright-infringement-detection software. If you feel strongly about it, I wouldn't post it here (which will only get it more hits), but instead PM one of the Escapist staff (not Yahtzee) and I imagine they'll probably notify YouTube.

He got enough videos where there's no changes at all if you search his channel a bit.
