While A is good but B is definitely better!

I had a loot at the actual cover and it kinda plain given to what Doom is about (no blood).

I'd say B, cause it's just so apprioprate for a game that just took the name of the original DOOM and didn't even bother to add a number to have a cover so remininscent of the original.

And i'm for some of the suggestions i've seen on Twitter to put the A variant on a t-shirt, instead.

Option B looks prettier to me. It just pops out more, while still being reminiscent of good ol' classic DOOM cover art.
Option A feels more suited to Diablo or Generic-Death-Metal-Album-Cover. It would make a great shirt/hoodie/pair of socks though. OOOH! They should bundle the game with demonic socks and evil knitted sweaters! Y'know, for thematic reasons. :D

Both look good, but use Option B only if it's not false advertising.

We want to fight hordes, Id. Not one scary demon, not two or three at a time.

Hordes.

It depends on what kind of game DOOM will be.

If it is a bullet-hell FPS with a ceaceless horde of aggressive bullet-sponge monsters, B.
If it is a creepy, atmospheric-tense spookfest with a few enemies per jumpscare, A.

Needless to say, I pray to Christ id does the right thing with the license this time, and makes B the only sensible choice. If they screw up and fail to deliver on the awesome promises about fast-paced action murderfun, then covering the box with this amazing art would only pinch my nutsack even harder.

I honestly feel they should just go with the either A or B for the default cover, but alas it is a nice consideration, I like both really.
