idea for a cool stealth game

you play as a tribesman in an amazonian tribe who are isolated from modern society. the story centres around a tree in which the tribe worship, the tree is said to provide healing qualities. you go out hunting and come back to find that a logging company has destroyed your village and discovered the properties of this tree. you must take out the logging firm and its privately hired mercenaries.

as you only have a bow, a small knife and a blow gun. you must use stealth to take down this logging firm which threatens your very way of life, bearing in mind they have almost unlimited resources and you only have a few primitive hunting tools, however you know the jungle you know how to set traps.

Not too bad. A primitive-ish character against the steel giants (logging equipment). I can see this work. Sort of a "Rambo vs Bulldozers" kind of thing. You can have many advantages in the forest, including equiopment/weapons etc but they are almost unstoppable machines of destruction with soulless people in charge (in yhe main character's point of view).

Seems a bit shallow but it's only a paragraph of description so far. I'd play something like that.

OT: Tell us more mate! Go in depth with the story, why is the company there? Is there no government stopping them from tearing down whole villages? what are some snazzy sneaking features? can we camp in trees all day and snipe down mercenaries with a bow? is it open world? Sounds like an awesome game that just needs to be fleshed out more :3

It's a cool idea but you just told us the very basics, I don't see the magic catch of that sets it apart from others, why would people pick this over modern brown shooter 417?

OT: It sounds interesting as a base concept but not very engaging. If anything what you have at the moment sounds like it would make for a very short game. It needs a bit more than revenge and a magic tree to drive along the player. Plus y u no include spear?

Sounds like all the bits I like about Farcry . I like the sound of it, playing as a more spiritual, straightforward character in his own environment sound good. I mean, stealth games are all about sneaking into other peoples shit, would be quite unique to be the native for a change, setting traps, making distractions, using the environment and the wildlife to your advantage. Would have survival, stealth, sandboxing, hunting... I'd certainly play a game like that, especially if I could make my own poison tipped darts and stealth blow them into douchebags necks.

I'd play something like that if it had assassination and a good close quarters combat system. Just that you can stand on your own if you are seen like in Metal Gear, but without guns. Just simplistic martial arts and dagger.

It's supposed to be a last resort, but there is no excuse to not make it at least enjoyable.

exactly, like you said use the environment and wildlife. use poison plants and animals to tip your darts

i didnt get the idea from avatar i just sort of thought of a good underdog and whats more of an underdog than a tribe vs a global corporation. its sort of what i expected the game HAZE to be like
