East vs. West

Not like in terms of Bruce Li vs. Sylvester Stallone but in terms of Superman vs. Goku terms. I mean, wouldn't it be great to see all out geek heroes going at it with the geek idols of Japan?
Think about it: Megas vs. Gundaum, Deadpool vs. Travis Touchdown, Kratos vs. Vegeta, Wolverine vs. Dante, Ezio vs. some ninja (too f(*& many to count), Deus Ex vs. Volnutt, Avatar Aang vs. Akira, etc. List goes on and on, plus we've all fantasized about these brawls but only in our heads, some of done stuff on other sites but not in terms of an ongoing series. Web comic is doable because you could make a web comic about a turd in space going on adventures into outer space with a 6 legged Marmoset name Adolf that you found in space whilst looking for the holy-space-grail of Jesus-space-Christ space and people would still-space-read it. and it will be serious. Doable? Watchable? Laughable? Lunchables?

Looks good on paper. Get it? That was the joke. There is no paper!

I would read for my favorites. The idea is great but a comic full of one-shot gag strips doesn't appeal to me (unless it's Mutts). Pulling off an actual storyline that isn't gimmicky might be difficult.

Final thought: Doable definitely watchable, but would be done better if it were a collection of video clips. Hot Pockets are better.

The full blown comic would take place 5 years after The Eastern Factions(title pending, pretty sure you could think of a better one) invades Earth, but do not really invade so much as they do share with us their tech and are given a large grant of unsettled lands in the world. After the main character's girlfriend is raped and than commits suicide, our hero decides it's time for a brutal rebellion, sparing no survivor and bringing about the Second Revolutionary War in America and all over the world. The final battle and beginning of the real East vs. West phase begins in New York City where the Raytheon/Sacros exoskeleton debuts being worn by our main character as he leads a charge carrying a tattered American flag and leading a combined army of soldiers, gangsters, yakuza, etc. As the last of the retreating forces leave on the last drop ship heading to the main space ship it may have come from, but as the army begins to cheer they look to the sky and see a fleet of ships heading for Earth above in the sky, all bigger than the ship the earthlings were greeted to during the initial first contact 5 years ago. But as quickly as they come they begin to engage in battle with another fleet of starships, ships of the UNSC. As they reestablish contact with the combined forces on Earth, the captain of the sip explains the situation he was just involved in and the war that's been happening for years. This Earth allies with The Western Federation( again you could do a better title im just spit balling) and our main character and many others become part of their forces, but our main character is brought somewhere else where he will be taught to lead and fight by the most legendary and powerful soldiers, mages, and warriors the Federation has to offer.

Still a gag to you?

Side note: I have thought of doing video clips of epic battles being set to music, since I've started to learn to use Flash, but that would take probably every high quality animator from Newgrounds, lots of money, and a patient fan base, and as we all no we are not patient.
