Alright alright, put your guns down and hear me out. I have no way of ever creating this, I'm still at Uni and I have nowhere near enough money to fund it, this is just to see if Fallout is made into a show what would people like in it.

Now I've only played 3 and New Vegas so I am unaware of potentially important elements from previous games but I do know some of the mythos from the new games. My idea is to have a the lone survivor from Vault 11 - those of you who played New Vegas may remember a recorded message from Vault 11 where the four remaining survivors of Vault 11 are shot and killed by a fifth survivor who escaped - searching for a scientist called James in the Mojave; their mission is to have James look at the Vault 11 computer in order to find answers to why the human sacrifices were needed. Their search leads them across the wastelance until they encounter James son, a courier from D.C. who arrived in New Vegas to assist the Brotherhood of Steel chapter in that area. The Courier tells the survivor that James died in D.C. defending Project Purity. Disheartened that they cannot find the answers they wanted and with a great sense of guilt over killer their friends, the survivor returns to Vault 11 and puts themself into the sacrificial chamber.

Now this is not perfect and I'm sure plenty of you will point out several flaws in the idea but remember it's just that, an idea. I would like to hear your own plot ideas or what elements of the Fallout universe you would like to be included or even if you want to improve my own idea.

Also please only post if you have a legitimate idea, I don't want this thread to be overrun with 'Oh Fallout's shit and therfore a T.V. show about it will be shit.', this is just a discussion.

Well, getting rights to use the Fallout name and things from the series aside, a post apocalyptic setting for a regular TV show could be interesting. It worked for zombies and Walking Dead...

However pulling so much directly from the games would be a bad idea. Those stories have been told. A new story would be a much better thing, that way the writers wouldn't have to deal with people bitching about how the Courier or James' kid 'would never act that way in my game!'.

I'm not sure Fallout has enough public knowledge about it to sell a series though. A generic post apocalyptic would would probably go better.
