Hey y'all!

So I'm putting together a mage game, and I was wondering if any of you guys had any suggestions. I've run a lot of games before, but have never been completely satisfied with the result. I was wondering if any of you who play table top RPGs have had any great experiences you wouldn't mind sharing with me, or have some suggestions of things that make a really good story teller, so that I can get some ideas going.

The basic story I'm going with is (for those familiar with the mage universe), the gap between the abyss and the Fallen World seems to be diminishing, and no one knows why. I'm altering the standard mage universe so that there are no large order's, but only numerous smaller cabals spread around the world in major cities. Thus, information is at a minimum. None of the people who are playing have played mage, so the quest will/might require a lot of adventuring and investigation to learn things that most players would pick up by just reading the rules book (yay newbies!)

Anyway, you don't have to understand any of that to help me out. I'm just looking for some pointers. Thanks y'all!

Lead them through various exotic locations; rain forests, deserts, snowy mountains and deserted islands.

Exotic places are always fun to hang around in right ? ;)
