That's probably what I'd do too, if I were a hacker that is.

You could get a job as a digital security analyst. Yes, you get paid to try to break into a system. If you pass, you tell them how to fix it. It's a very complicated job.

The bad part is on 14.3% of ID theft has to do with credit cards. It's the other 4 that are killers. Medical IDT can cost you your life literally.

Though not offering to cover credit monitoring for those whose PHI (protected health information) was breeched? A douchebag move by the company. Hopefully the NH Attorney general will breathe down their neck enough to make them do it. At least they followed proceure and contacted DHHS and the attorney general. They just were incredibly slow on doing so!
