Idiotic things your characters do...

OK I searched the threads and stupid things in videogames was the closest I found so:
WARNING SPOILERS OF VARIOUS GAMES
What moment in a game you rather enjoyed(possibly)did the main character (I.E. YOU) did something so monumentally stupid, usually during a cs or somesuch, did you just gawk, scream, facepalm, etc..
Off the top of my head:
Force Unleashed: At the end you fight and defeat the emperor, you are standing about to give the death blow when you are stopped to "not kill him in anger", we need to go build a rebellion and a fleet and start a war and kill thousands more THEN we can come back and kill him in anger......SERIOUSLY??

Alan Wake: You just escaped the darkness you are sitting there in a house, the darkness has shown exceptional ability to kill power supplies, infiltrate people etc, So you are sitting there being hunted by the dark ,the FBI, and the local cops, well,.. LETS GET DRUNK WOOHOOO and not just drunk but blasted out of your mind passing out puking in the corner, own mother wouldn't recognize you drunk... Yeah thats a good idea...
I am sure there are others these just stuck to me lol

I've been beating my head against the brick wall that is Resident Evil 4 and Leon Kennedy's special needs lately. What pops immediately to mind is when he runs into a room with Salazar, the tiny Napoleon guy, and stands there like a tool while the runty little bastard monologues for about fifteen seconds and hits a switch to open a trapdoor Leon is helpfully standing on.
Instead of, you know, shooting him or something.

When I decided to suicide myself cus I carried a scientist that altered the future making Russians the dominant force on Earth. I shot the Russian. Game reloaded and prompted me to kill myself instead. Singularity anyone?(I SEE NOW ...Singularity aka linearity D: )
