Imagine, if you will, an alien ship that is gathering species from multiple planets to put them into some kind of zoo. After some time collecting, it sets a course for its homeworld. However, due to mechanical error, it comes out of hyperspace above Earth and crash lands here. The ship itself is automated, however, it is carrying thousands of species of alien creature. The ship, though it has crashed, is still working to keep the animal cargo alive. How would the world react? I want to get a few perspectives here; scientific, military, governmental, etc.

Honestly, I think we'd be pretty dumbfounded.

I reckon America and Russia would fight over it, meanwhile Japan secretly nicks it, takes it back to Japan, and studies it and makes robots reverse-engineered from the technology.

Cover it up of course.

It's not an alien ship carrying lots strange creatures,
It's a new type of airplane carrying lots of normal creatures.
Strictly for government usage and not previously known or seen by the public.

I'll take one as a pet. I'll call it Fluffy. Also, I hope it has tentacles.

Be one of the greatest adult movie directors of all time.
Yes, I will. I might need to move to Japan, though but that's all right.

As long the assume alien AI didn't transfer its map to a kid and then took the kid to extract the map from his mind than surely it won't be as adventurous as that! (I referring to Flight of the Navigator before you asked as the OP scenerio sound abit like film except for the kid.)
