If Apple made a console it would be white, have the most expensive logo in the world on it and the controller would have one button.

But you'd be able to put Windows on it and then you'd just have a very expensive, aesthetically pleasing Xbox.

It would most likely be an amazing piece of industrial design. In other words, the physical plastic shell that houses the hardware would be pretty. Otherwise, probably too expensive for not enough horsepower coupled with a library of games that brings the Dreamcast to mind.

Besides, an Apple console already exists. However, I've never even seen a Pippin in RL, much less ever heard of one back in '95 when they came out. I doubt things would go differently if they tried again.

EDIT: huh, so much for contributing to the discussion, I think I just repeated what everyone above me just said without realizing it. So........./thread? lol.

Apple should never make a console.

This was pretty much what my response would be. Anything with that Apple logo sells like hotcakes. Which makes me wonder why they don't release Apple brand hotcakes. I don't think there is a phrase to describe how those would sell.

In all honesty, many people believe that the next Apple TV will also be a games console. With their current App store, I really look into trying it out.

it would be called the iPlay, costs thrice as much as the competitor and wouldn't do anything special except look nice and futuristic.
Also it would be jailbroken in the first day of the release.

it would be probably the first cloud system due to games being tied to your iTunes account
(like steam except you would need a 2000$ gaming system to use it) sadly this would be useless since barely anyone would buy the damn thing.

If Apple made a console, I'd wait a few months to see what happens to it, let it build up a library. If it does well, then I'll sell my 360 with all the games with that and my wii with all my games and stuff and buy it.
