Wow, lots of people haven't actually played a JRPG.
Yes the game would not allow you to customize your character, would have a linear path and not allow you to make decisions. But you know what, minus the customization part, that's pretty much DA2. Doesn't matter who you side with, you still have to fight two end bosses and nothing you do really matters.
Huge weapons and party members who you can't customize, already in DA2
The English voice track would probably suck but the Japanese one would be good.
Hawke and certain other characters would be younger.
Cut-scenes would be more frequent and be look amazing.
Hawke would actually have special powers like those seen in the trailers.
Magic effects would be more impressive.
The ending would be 1,000 times better.

Then it would be entirely linear and consist of filler dungeons designed to waste your time and story sections where alternate between whining about their personal problems and infodumping world lore that has no connection to anything you'll actually be doing. So it's pretty much just be the same. Oh wait, JRPGs often have good art direction so that'd be different.

The physics engine would break, being instead focused on supporting the characters impossibly spiky hair. About 10 minutes into the game the game world would collapse in on itself due to this and youll plunge endless into the chasm on the minus world.

Really, though? The only thing that would change is the artstyle/design of the game. DA 2 is pretty much a JRPG. Except that you have more choices to alter the dialogue and that you can customize your characters appearance/gender.

Huh that's kind of the opposite opinion to mine... I thought DA2 was WRPG to the core and DA1 played a bit more like a JRPG. Hell with leaving all but one character autoattacking at a time while you pick out skills for each one to use you can make an argument that DA1 was turn based.NathLines said:
