I would love something big and fantastically-delicious like Oblivion BUT with a main story I want to play, good voice acting, non-horrible facial animations, and somewhat realistic looking dialogue (no creepy eye-contact). Basically, if Bioware took Oblivion (and Fallout 3) and took care of said elements, I would be so happy.

A really expansive Skies of Arcadia (Or SOA-like) game.

That one, something with maybe proper customization, maybe have a little bit of a mix with the monster hunter game, its cool to be able get some materials to make cool weapons would be pure awesome to be able to take the the head an neck of a giant dragon at make it the head of your ship

Though an MMO of skies wouldn't be a bad thing either.

OP: a previous poster had said an oblivion style pokemon game and right now that's the only thing I can think about right now

I'd personally pass on the Skies MMO, but otherwise I'm onboard.

That's the problem; we all would. So why hasn't it been made?

I was on steam a little while ago and I saw an ad for a 40K third person shooter, and if I recall there were a couple of 40K shooters on the PS2 but thus far nothing like you've suggested.

The only possible reason I can think of as to why this hasn't been developed yet is either games workshop isn't letting anyone develop one or we just don't have enough nerds around for such an idea to be profitable.

On the other hand maybe they're still working on this masterpiece but they're crafting it with such care and devotion that they haven't announced it yet.

how about a game where you play a normal guy who has been lifted up to supernatural prowess. it has an open ended story, but several paths lead you down an enthralling story filled with loss, sacrifice, and deep, interesting characters.

Oh, and if you're evil, you can rob gas stations, banks, ect. while, say, pausing time, or spraying fire and lightning everywhere.

P.S. make it a true sandbox, don't put cheap things in the way to keep them from going places, and actually give them freedom, not just an illusion of it.
