Is there any aspect of a game that you love that you would want to change? It could be anything whether it be a slight alteration to the gameplay, an adjustment to the storyline (maybe there was a hole in the plot that bugged you), or maybe even graphical adjustments. Or, perhaps, there's one particular game you really like which you feel is flawless, at which point you are free to share why you think it's flawless.

To get things rolling, I'm a huge fan of Silent Hill 2 (as are a lot of people on this website), but the combat, particularly the melee combat, was PAINFULLY awkward, especially when space was tight (which it almost always was). Since I tried it on the higher difficulty, I would try to conserve my ammo by using melee attacks, which often got me really hurt.

Maybe the Modern Warfare Games slightley longer.

Or Too Human have an actual ending, that pissed me off to no end, it didnt even have a cliff hanger, it just stopped after a level.

I wish Rogue Trooper was longer and more popular.

I just finished it today, and it was great. I loved basically every part of the game.

A hidden gem.
The combat in Silent Hill is supposed to be shite. It implies panic and inexperience.

Bring back lobby leaderboards, game mode leaderboards, and "leave with party" to Modern Warfare 2. They were great in World @ War, and Infinity Ward has absolutely no excuse to leave them out and stubbornly include their stupid "accuracy" leaderboard where you have to go down several thousand ranks to find people who aren't boosting.

I see your point there, but I'm only referring to the melee combat. You notice how in Silent Hill your character is always a PERFECT shot with a gun? On the other hand, melee combat involves you having to run directly up to your enemy and stand still while trying to whack them, at which point you're gonna get hit, or sprayed with acid, or whatever. So, it's fine to try to derive "meaning" from a game, but trying to derive meaning from a crappy gameplay mechanic is grasping at straws, in my opinion. If you were a terrible shot with a gun, then I'd forgive it, but you aren't.

Valkyria Chronicles had almost perfect gameplay. Almost.

If the AI would have been a bit more refined, the interruption mechanism had counted for something (i.e. when they shoot at any enemy that enters their line of sight when it's not their turn) and you could have used other cover than sandbags, it might have been mind-blowingly awesome. A harder difficulty setting for story mode wouldn't have hurt either, nor would have player vs. player mode.

Then there's MGS4. They had the controls down, but goddammit, you didn't actually have to sneak. They also screwed up the level design after Middle East. Chapter 2 was a bit plain as a sneaking enviroment, though it had its moments too.
Chapter 3 was a joke, basically using the dreaded escort mission for the whole chapter, only that much more annoying.
Chapter 4... Seriously, only those annoying machines? There's no fun in fooling them, and being basically just moving security cameras, there was very little of that fun improvisation that makes MGS so great as there was dully systematically finding a pattern that allowed you to move past them. You didn't really have options in how to proceed, which goes against what makes the whole sneaking concept thing fun.
Chapter 5 at least gave back the basics, sneaking through a patrolled ship deck, but it was so damn short - pretty much the lenght of a long hallway.
Too much gimmicks.

I liked Yahtzee's suggestion in his Spore review, where he said the game should have been more like Sim City. It would have smoothed out the stages of the game a lot better, and overall I feel it would have been more enjoyable.

As for me, I got Red Alert 3 on Xbox, and overall I liked it. I just wish, since it utilizes a fairly complex radial menu, that they had included a mechanic which pauses the game while the wheel is opened, much like Bioware did in Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I suppose, though, that this would have eliminated the "real-time" aspect to the strategy...

I wish OP Flash: Dragon Rising's levels were less horribly linear. I might have actually bought it then.

Well, I'd enjoy spore if the space stage was more like sim city. I'd pay microtransactions for the ability to construct dyson spheres, no doubt about that. I love building things in space, but the spore gameplay does not do the fantastic galaxy much justice.

No, I honestly wish it was a 40k sim. Constant endless grinding warfare in a universe where the flow of time doesn't really matter (like spore). Finding necron tombworlds on random moons floating through the cosmos. Glassing cults worlds from orbit. Procedural gameplay.

Oh man it would be fun. There is zero reason to do anything in spore; even collecting objects seems hollow.

The gameplay in Valkyria Chronicles was excellent, I just wish it lacked toxic levels of anime.
It was, but it could have been perfect weren't it for a few silly design choices. It was far from unflawed.

And the plot... I think the correct term is fubar. I didn't mention it because there's no realistic way of making it good.

I did not know gems could be made out of shite.

Me didn't like it.
