HA! Eeeyup, my thoughts exactly.

I think the crash was actually inevitable. The total market saturation of both new consoles and cheap terrible games was only going to lead the industry one way.

Consumers at large continuing to buy (and not losing confidence in) the veritable plethora of garbage being churned out by Atari et al is the only way the '83 Crash would've NOT happened.
