I love the litteralists who say "you have a pulse right?". Clearly that's not what "have a life" means.

And no, you do not "have a life" if you spend most of your time sitting alone. You are alive, but not living your life.
Very arrogant way of thinking. I like being by myself as i like being around people.
Alone i play game ,watch tv/movies etc. I am living my life the way I want to not what someone else think i should. It is my life not yours.

I'm the type of person who has about 3 or 4 close friends but not 100 "acquaintances". I hate going to parties with more than 10 or 15 people, especially if I don't know the people there.

So just because he is alone means that he doesn't enjoy being alone? I'd much rather stay at home and play Xbox with a friend or two through party chat than go out with 5 friends or go to a party. Just because you may like being with people doesn't mean that's the only way to enjoy life.

My definition of a loner is someone who keeps to themselves a lot. But that's not to say that they don't have a life.

If you're living, you have a life.

I failed out of college and most of my social time comes with talking to people online - trust me, if you don't have a life, then I don't either.

Being a lone wolf is a type of lifestyle, no? There is nothing wrong with that unless you find yourself naked, rubbing peanut butter all over yourself, and dancing in the dark. *shrug*
Crap, guess I have a problem.

OT: No, loners enjoy their own company and there's no problem with that, im a bit of a loner myself though I do have friends too who generally understand my occational needs for peace.

Im gonna add on to this that people who devote their time to certain subjects have no less of a life than people who say go on a piss up every friday night, it's just a different type of life.

The OP pretty much sounds like me. I'm just taking online classes right now, but I will be attending campus starting next semester. I'm sure I'll socialize a lot more then, but as of now I just don't really have incentive to do much else. I have everything I could possibly want right here, and I'm honestly quite content with that.

Just because you're a loner doesn't mean you don't have a life. It could just mean that you mostly prefer your own company over that of other people. Personally, I barely talk to people outside of my family except for a couple of online friends, yet I'm perfectly happy with that. Mostly because the people outside of my family in 'real life' annoy the hell out of me.
