I may not choose to go back to being sixteen now, as i am curious as to were the path if i have for myself leads to.
But, if a genie or some sort of god came and found me at my deathbed, or moments before death and said he could take me back to being sixteen again, then hell, i defiantly take that chance and live two lives instead of one.
I would make the most out of the time i had with my ex-gf, i would change a few suitable things though, basically to make the experience more enjoyable and memorable. I'd still have to dump her in the end though, but i'd try to manage the break up better so i can still remain on talking terms with her, if that is ever possible. I'd also bug my dad to get his old work laptop sooner, and look after it better- don't click on that link that gave my laptop a virus.
I'd re-enjoy that summer holiday after my A-Level's, i wouldn't change a thing there. Come university though, i'd skip the first Debating Society meeting and not miss the first Rock Society meeting, as well as not get a sudden and horrible bout of home sickness which meant i missed the gamesoc meeting as well. That way, i'd miss a lot of depression from the first year of university, and wind up with some completely different friends. Then, one can only imagine how different my university experience would have been.

Well it's only more useful if your taking a subject at university that needs it. Otherwise there's no difference between the 2 execept for the fact that I would get more UCAS points with sociology becase i'm only good at statistics (which is only 1/3 of maths).Novskij said:

Go back two years? Hmm... well I was pretty comfortable then and I'm pretty comfortable now... Can I save this for when I'm 80 and dying of cancer?

Hell yeah.
I would do my homework... and make it so, that i don't waste my good opportunities. Also a bit more self-improvement and training.
But then: If i do something different, maybe i will get hit by a car when i am 17 or something. Change a detail and you can change everything. But i would be willing to take the risk.

I will admit that I am a little developmentally slow. At 27 I think & act like a teenager & at 16 I might as well have still been in elementry school.
If I could be 16 again with my current mentality, I guess I would have a normal teen life, gotten a part-time job, & stayed at a dirt cheap local community college so I could have avoided years of harassing phone calls from Sallie Mae's bill collectors.
If I was like I was when I was 16 but in the 2010s, I'd still be completely self-absorbed, live in my nobbies, & not believe that anyone except me was a real person who still existed when I wasn't present.

Random side question: If you could go back to August of 2001, would you tell anyone about 9/11? Think about it, as a kid they'd assume you don't know what you're talking about and dismiss you. You'd be seen as that one crazy conspiracy kid. And then afterward they'd lock you up because you had information about a terrorist attack. It's kind of a lose-lose* scenario.
*(Except for all you escapees in New York who lost someone in the attacks. My apologies if it seems insensitive to bring it up.)

Your teenage/adolescent years might be formative, but they sure as hell are not as wonderful as the experimental years of your early twenties.
I prefer being an ultimately irrational human being, who is capable of employing reason, is able to grasp more complex theories and abstract theories and is less bound by the imagined hobgoblins of 'popularity' and social mores.
Also, just because it gives you the hypothetical chance to avoid past mistakes, it certainly will not help you making new ones.
