The Merchant from RE4

"Hello Stranger"
Either that or Kratos... God killer extreme.
The only downside to that is you would never be rid of the nightmares of killing your family, no matter how many gods you kill.

I don't want to be Sephiroth. I don't know, because he dies at the end?

I just know this. I want to be Eddie Riggs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRjQXjZc9Hc

Knuckles. He looks cool and he can fly. Plus it wasn't until I read the manual for Sonic 3 that I realised he was male. He looks pink in the Genesis games.

Or maybe Develon from Bust-a-Move 4...:

Probably Deadpool from Marvel Ultimate Alliance. All the awesomeness of Wolverine, with a hilariously evil sense of humor. I would definitely have to change the voice though, so I don't sound like an angry 12 year old with laryngitis.

If given the choice I would have to be either:

- The Space Marine force commander from Dawn of War, in the first game he was not only badass but suprisingly witty and wise for what is essentially a fundamentalist in 17 and a half tonne power armour.

or...

- Ripley from Alien Trilogy, transforming an interesting and emotionally stressed character into a faceless space marine may not sound like the best idea but you have got respect anyone who can blast through three seperate Xenomorph hives, kill tens of infected humans and robots, hundreds of Aliens, survive being facehugged (and thus impregnated with a chestburster) a ridiculous number of times and kill three Alien Queens with only a couple of machine guns and a shotgun.

I would choose the character I have created in a story I have; the amount of power is beyond that of a Gods, since well he is one and hardly good by that point. (Power corruption FTW!)

Strictly video game speaking then Ghaleon (Lunar series) Dante, Sephiroth, Auron, Dart (LoD) or Cloud all come to mind. It might also be nice to be someone like Serge (Chrono Cross); imagine being your typical teenager except ridiculous strong for no actual reason.

Sargeras, not too well known but it the strongest power in the entire warcraft universe and can pretty much take on the Titans if he wished.

That or Broxigar the Red the only being ever to fight Sargeras let alone wound him, he died in a blaze or glory like no other, Above a mountain of demonic corpses felled by his ax (The reason I call my character Bloodax) and took on the ultimate incarnation of chaos, a fallen Titan champion. Let's see the Alliance beat that :p

Zack Fair, FF VII. I'd prefer to avoid dying in my twenties, though.

Sephiroth.

Why?

fangirls.
No. Just, no. You haven't played Crisis Core, I presume? If there is one thing to learn from that game, it's that fangirls are sufferers of mental disease. In the streets of Midgard, you can find women who claim alleigance to different fanclubs not only for Sephiroth but also for other SOLDIER 1st Class members. At one point, one belonging to a fanclub for a particular person can be found crying because they have no money left to fund the club, as they have lost contact with the parents of their idol, who used to give them money to run their sons fanclub. There's also a sidequest where a member of another club has left her kid crying on the street and is about to leave town to look for her idol, who has gone missing, and you have to talk some sense into her by giving a plausible quote from him on the subject of good parenting. Yeah.
