If you could cast one spell what would it be?

I cast detect magic! It is the one spell no adventurer can be without!

I think I'd go with Wish. Its pretty decent. It seems I've been ninja'd a number of times though.

Not to nitpick but miracle is better. The best example of wish is in the story The Monkey's Paw. Miracle is just wish except it works the way you intend rather than screwing you in some way.

In Daggerfall, I made a spell ("Brain in a Jar") that gave me levitation, water-breathing, intelligence +50, and lightning punches (30-50 damage) for ten minutes! I couldn't actually cast it, but I made it nonetheless! Reality doesn't have MP! I win!

That's a tough one. First I thought of Monecom from Legend of Scheherezade, but that's just 999 rupias, and some bread and junky items, and what the fuck is mashroob anyway? Plus, I'd have to find the right spot to cast it, and be able to travel through time.. so I think I'll go with Hula of Misfortune (Persona 2 EP), wherein (I presume) I get half the money your party already has. That or Atomic Bufula (cuz it's called freakin' *Atomic Bufula*!)
