To be fair, there was only one other Far Cry game so claiming it isn't a Far Cry game in the least is a little far fetched, that being said I wouldn't mind another Far Cry that was more like the original

Let's look at the list of Far Cry games pre-FC2

Far Cry Vengeance

Sure, Instincts and on was console oriented and quality took a significant drop with Evolution and Vengeance, but that's not very relevant to my point. All of the games had the idea of "get lost on island with beautiful undercover CIA agent, work with Doyle, find mutants, find big bad scientist, kill lots of bad guys". That was the basis of pretty much all of them, except Evolution and Vengeance were continuations of Instincts.

Far Cry 2, on the other hand, changed every little thing. There were no sci-fi ideas, no cheesy bad guys or mutants, or even a single remote reference to the original or its spin-offs. It was so far removed from the original idea that even the gameplay was completely different. Aside from the fact that both are FPS's, both take place in jungles, and both have bad guys with uber-accurate AK-47's and X-Ray vision, the games are completely different.

Besides, I don't think you'd ever catch Jack Carver with a case of Malaria, and if you did he'd just ballsy his way through it. Who needs pills?

I stand corrected, I didn't know about the ones after the first one. And I hated the ending of 2, there was no difference between the final choices at all, and the end scene was lack luster in my opinion

I heard from a friend of mine who was big into that game that it was intended to be a trilogy, but the developer went bankrupt.

Metro Last Light =/= Metro 2034: The Game. Last Light continues Artyoms story, while I'm fairly sure that 2034 (the book) is from a whole new person perspective. I wouldn't know, since THEY HAVEN'T TRANSLATED IT TO ENGLISH!!! I really want to read that book, but I don't know enough of any of the languages it is in to read it. Metro 2033 is probably one of my favorite books/games.

I got a good one. How about an actual sequel to Legend of Zelda. It's crazy that there's been 4 consoles, not counting the handhelds, that have come out since the original game, but Zelda II is still at the end of the crazy screwed up timeline and the new game being devoloped is yet another prequel. At this point I just ignore the timeline altogether and just think of it like the legends of King Arthur. He pulls Excalibur out of the stone to become king but later gets the same sword from the Lady in the Lake.

Other than that. Bully 2. We need a Bully 2.

Majora's Mask was the sequel to Ocarina of Time

Yeah, but it's not a sequel to the series at large. Only Zelda 2 is a direct sequel to the first Zelda game. Everything else takes place before the first one. I really only met this as a joke, cause I'm sure there's no intention of ever making a true Zelda 3. Many younger gamers have never played the first two and aren't familiar with the story, but I don't want to get into it cause the Zelda timeline belongs to a entirely different thread.

Finishing Legacy of Kain and finding out the fate of Kain and Raziel would be a good thing, Tony Jay or no Tony Jay. (We love his work as the Elder God and such, but it's time to end the series.)

Making a Resurrection remake of MediEvil 2 would also be highly awesome, or even a new game where someone takes advantage of Zarok's old time machine (not seen in MediEvil Resurrection) and that you actually have to team up with a zombie-version of your arch-nemesis.

Most importantly, giving us a damn sequel to SKIES OF ARCADIA would make tons of money for whoever did it, assuming it was done with the same care as they did the first game.

I was remembering that Raziel become Kain's sword on LoK 5, where he sacrificed himself to give Kain the power to fight against the god... the question maybe and now? What happen to Kain?

I havent really played a sequel I didn't like. All I can think of is to make the force Unleashed 2 Longer, and make the story less about his frustrated libido and more about stuff that happened in between films three and four.

But that's still coming from what I've heard about the game. Nothing much else really.

Youre friend is correct... it was intended to be a trilogy, and personnaly i loved the game... sure it had some clonky physics, but the game was entertaining and fun, i loved to play has a super agent, saving the world with his super telekenetic powers...

But unfortenatly the developers did went bankrupt... wich is sad... the game had nice levels (i loved the escape the ship while it was breaking), good characters and amazing orchestrated soundtrack, and had a good lenght...

Sad considering they left us with a teaser at the end... who knows this game might get the same fate has duke nukem, here in 12 years or something... xD

Seriously? I didn't know that. That's bullshit. Hand-to-hand is tied with Marksman as my favorite combat focus in Oblivion. I'm becoming less and less interesting in Skyrim every day.

there is still hand-to-hand combat they just removed the skill (how else are you going to fend for yourself if all your weapons break down?)
