If you could have one classic arcade game what would it be and why?

marvel vs capcom 2, or Dragons lair (i'm a huge fan of dirk the daring). my "not so retro choice" goes to the series that stole my heart (in some cases literally) as a kid, House of the Dead.

The orginal X-Men arcade machine, you know with Nightcrawler, Dazzler and Storm etc. and 2 screens.

I loved that shit, and getting 6 people at one time on the same machine was like multiplayer at its best, back in the day.

Hell yes, this is mine too. I even have that craptacular tie-in pilot cartoon "Pryde of the X-Men" kicking around on VHS somewhere (Wolverine with a bad Aussie accent never fails to amuse me).

bluerahjah, you have no idea how much that Gauntlet post tempts me -- in 3 weeks I'll be within spitting distance of Newport News. Unfortunately I don't think the machine would survive the trip back to MA strapped to the top of my Corolla.

Time Crisis was cool, Street Fighter 2 was classic - but my heart belongs to G-LOC R360. The sequel to Afterburner in a full 360 degree gyroscopic cabinet? Yes please. They had one in the Trocadero in London for donkey's years, I wonder if it's still there.

You bet I do. If I had the wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket that I bet one of those arcade machines cost, it would be in my den this minute.

Silent Scope. Best arcade game ever. I still love to play a sniper in the PC and Console games but it's not the same as holding the sniper rifle in your hands and looking through the scope.

I just wish picking up a Silent Scope wouldn't cost me my left arm and all my future kids, it'd be great to have, but come on.
