If I recall correctly from the Avatar movie, unobtainium is supposed to be a mineral that's superconducting at room temperatures. Many benefits with a material like that, go look it up.

Why would someone wish for Curoch though?? The only reason they could want that is to kill me, which seems like a bit of a waste.

Provided they're strong enough to wield it, it can cut through anything and you can change it's shape to anything you want it to be. That's pretty damn handy if you ask me. Of course, there's always the risk of overexerting yourself and it killing you for funsies.

Yes, but there are many other fictional things that would be more handy than an all-cutting, shape-shifting sword It's greatest use is that it amplifies magic and can kill immortals permanently, so unless our fellow escapists can do magic or have immortal enemies, it would be an odd choice
