If you could live in the Universe of a Game, Book, Film etc. Which would it be and why?

Any game right?
I choose RollerCoaster Tycoon - because I can leave the park, go back to my offscreen mansion and watch the news concerning the latest rollercoaster derailment / closure.

Hard decision. Can I make a list about what games I would NOT want to live in? Because no way am I living in Paradise city (Burnout Paradise)

I would have to say it's a tie between the Mass Effect universe and the Fallout 3 universe. One would be call cause you could cruise around the galaxy, exploring planets and busting a cap in any geth you meet. The other would be cool cause you could explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland seeing how the world has changed since the blast. But I would only like to live in both if I were the main character, or one that doesn't die.

I really don't know, all my favorite games, books and movies are dystopian pile of f***. I'd be unfortunate to live in any of them. Why are there no happy places to live in?

The Discworld. You guys can keep your dystopian/zombie-infested universes, I'll stick one that'd actually be fun and not get me killed within five minutes.

Although the Harvest Moon idea was pretty nice. I'm just not sure my life is ready for that much monotony.

I could say "The Sci-fi/fantasy/Sci-fan world in my head" or "The Sci-fi/fantasy/Sci-fan world in one of the short stories I have written (alas never published)."

But that would be no-fun.

I'd say The Culture from Iain M. Banks novels (A cookie to all of those in this thread who agrees).
1. You live naturally for about 400 years (unless you get yourself killed, wich is highly unlikey)
2. You don't need to peform any meaningful productive activity (such as work, although many prefer to do so)
3. Sexual taboos are nonexistent (and gender bending is a birthright)
4. This societys tech level is like... F*ck I don't have any comparisons (anyway, it's cranked up to eleven in every way)

For a close second I'd say the world of the TTRPG Nobilis.
And I'd be the avatar of computing/math.

The Star Wars 'verse. Particularly the KOTOR time period, because really, I know enough about the EU, to basically be a Nostradamus. And god help them all if I was force-sensitive.

Either the SG1 universe, hang out with O'niell and the team, kill some G'ould and back to the SGC in time for dinner or the Old Kingdom from the Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix. Become a necromancer/wall builder type and make guns that work and fire charter mark inscribed bullets that decimate free magic creatures and the undead. It would be great fun.
You sir, have read my mind, these two sound awesome and were the first things to come to mind.

I don't think anyone here has read any of the books, but I would love to live in the world where Trudy Canavan's "The Black Magician Trilogy" is set; can't remember the name of it though.
I believe its called Imaridin in the country of Kyralia or at least thats where the main place is but it sounds equally good as long as I had magic, I'd prefer to have that kind of magic over Harry Potter kind of magic.

My own submission would be the 'Study' trilogy, Poison, Magic and Fire, preferable if I had magic.

Am I the only one that want to exist the The Night Watch trilogy by Sergei Lukyanenko? C'mon, who wouldn't want to be a shap-shifter or magician?

EDIT: OH! And Ghostbuster! Childhood fantasy, can't control it.
As long as it's the books, and not that god awful movie they made (Night Watch, I mean). God the end of that movie made me mad.

ARRRRGHHH!!! Goddamn ninja! I wanted to make this kind of thread 6 days ago! Well, that's what you get for going on vacation without Internet.

OT: Ratchet & Clank. I would easily catch up with them, become their wingman, and go on various crazy adventures throughout the universe. Obnoxiously big guns, lots of attractive ladies, and cash falling from the scenery. Everything you could possibly want can probably be found in that world.

Team Fortress comes in as a close second, but it's really hard to beat R&C when it comes to adventuring.
The idea just came to me while I was watching this film, and I thought, what would everyone else think?

The Pokemon world. Honestly, who doesn't want to have big ass critters slaughtering other people's small ass critters?
