If you could make A game,

* What type would it be
* What loose outline of story and setting would it have

Tactical FPS with RPG trimmings.
Well... you see those guys over there did something and your guys are telling you to do something back. So you head out to go kill those guys all to avoid getting courtmartialed and hanged for treason.

Idea 1)A true Zombie Apocalypse game. Not just another flat shooter.

The game would focus on surviving the zombie apocalypse. Having to fight to survive, find shelter, food, ammo as well as hold on to you sanity.

Players have the ability to flee across the country from the zombie horde or try and rebuild the shattered world. Go it alone or save survivors, or just take advantage of them.

Hundreds of story lines and plot archs about what happened when the zombie apocalypse went down. Links to how it happened and maybe how it can be stopped. Random content buildings so your not stuck rummaging through the same damn layout over and over. Total freedom in choice of your actions. Can only save in safe zones but can use a note save system to save anywhere if you need to just to raise the stress level up. Day night mode based on real world time.

Friends can jump in and out at any time. Online multiplayer as well as four player offline.

Idea 2) Tactical FPS/RTS hybred. Lead your troops into battle.

Essentially a fps but with a click of a shoulder button you can give commands to troops in the field. Organize your troops, train special ops troops tailoring them to your specific desires. Manipulate gear and battle positions. Be part of the action while sending out orders.
While my Original idea is SCI-FI(Cyborg Army versus Radiated mutants versus Reptilian monsters)I am sure many other genres can fit.

My continuation of this is it would have a massive online component where players fight for territories on a massive over world map. Players from all three sides can battle for a territory, last man standing wins. Once a side takes over players or factions(guilds but with shared resources) can construct and modify territories to suit them. Either by building defensive structures(walls, mounted guns, fortified bunkers) as well as training troops, or maximize resource potential by focusing on the economy.

I have more ideas and this is just the bare bones of those two ideas. I can go on for hours about these and more.

Ive said this in another thread but mine would be a third person shooter where you play as a figment of an insane guys imagination and you control the psychotic dream world. And you have to defend the world from representations of psychologists and medicine trying to make the insane guy better because not doing so will end up with your fake character being destroyed by sanity. You use a variety of skills that twist reality and rationality (much like spells). The spells and world are like Wonderland (of the Alice variety) but only if you were on acid while you were there. So it would be a twisted magic shooter/combat thing.

It would be a TCG, so it wouldn't really have a story line.

But it would be awesome.

Oh you mean video game.

I would make a video game of said TCG.

MMOFPS/RTS/Global RTS
About open warfare, fairly realistic, with commanders, giant playable maps and different factions.
Now that would be fucking awesome.

Turn-based RPG

Mummies Alive using their storyline with some changes like making it a little adult oriented and making it a little bit more realistic

FPS/RTS/RPG hybrid

Alternative Worl-War-2-scenario where you don't fight against other soldiers, but you take on aliens, zombies and mutants. Players can choose between different classes and nations, level up, upgrade their weapons, and later they can become a commander to order airstrikes and stuff like that.

There's this one I've got (and this is just one of the six I'm currently working on): it's an FPS about a speedo-clad nordic strongman with chest hair that can defelct bullets, and he decides to shoot up the mob because they turned him down for a desk job on the grounds that he was 'too wierd'. It's an old Duke Nukem' style game, where you can outrun cars and take twenty headshots from rocket launcers before dying. It's called "Armed to the Teeth and Gunning for Dudes". F**k realism.

I'd create a successor to Fallout: New Vegas on survivor mode (or whatever it's called) situated in New York. You'd have Manhattan pretty ruined with a bomb that didn't go off in the middle of Central Park, Staten Island would be less ruined but still pretty bad, Jersey would be like Point Lookout, and there'd be gangs that take their names after baseball players/teams. So you'll have the Yankees battling the Mets, and you'd have stuff like the Joe Pepitone gang or the Ruthless Babies or the Mookies. Obviously the mob would exist in some form, and Little Italy would be one of the areas that was spared somewhat. Also everyone in the game talks with an over the top NY accent. The radio would feature a lot of Sinatra, some Mel Brooks, Louis Armstrong etc. It'd be..Awesome.

Also I had to throw Joe Pepitone into the mix thanks to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik79BGmRrOU

RPG

Already have a universe created, currently mucking about with different engines to find one I like (Suggestions, anyone?, it's got at D&D rolling stats/combat system), so you may be seeing my game coming into the indie marking within the next decade.

A multiplayer FPS on the DS.
It'll have to be class based and there will be two versions of each class (an asault based one and a suport one). It'll go up to 8 players. It will have online or offline play and DS download. For single player, you can play with bots or play on linier versions of maps with predetrmand classes (Their there to help the player get used to each class). I'm staill planing it and what not.

Me and a few other came up with the most realistic modern war game ever. Your character is Lance Corporal Notional and is being deployed to Iraq. The epic cinematic intro cutscene is actually 5 hours long showing you packing your stuff, waiting in line at the armory for your rifle, and then waiting an hour for the bus to take you to the airport. You fall asleep on the bus only to wake up at the airport where you wait another two hours to board your flight and fall asleep on the plane. You wake up in Kuwait only to wait around again until a military transport is ready to take you into Iraq.
Thats where the exciting gameplay starts. You get selected for a working party to load all of the gear onto the plane, you do this with a series of quick time events. Once you are actually in-country there are about 3 unique missions that you get to repeat over 7 months worth of gameplay.
One is standing post at your base, you have to rapidly press certain buttons in order to stay awake. The second is going on foot patrols where you have to walk in formation and don't get too close to the man in front or behind you, occasionally you stop at an Iraqi's house and can refill your energy bar by smoking their cigarettes or drinking their tea. Third and probably most exciting is an all out close-combat battle... with your air conditioner. With a combination of QTE tinkering and fighter-style kicks and punches you have to keep your air conditioner in running order thus staving off insanity for another day. Possible DLC includes a stealth-based mission to steal your squadmates porn and sneak off to the porta-potty.

Most realistic wargame ever...
