Final Fantasy 6

or Fire Emblem 9/10

If someone could pull that off, they'd be one of the greatest film-makers ever.

Metal Gear Solid.
If it is guaranteed to be done good.

It would have to have have a chopped down version of the storyline to make a good stand alone film... Could Hideo Kojima hold himself back from that enough?

Eventhough I'm pretty much against making game-based movies, I think Ico could make a very good one.

The game was basically just gameplay with very little story, yet Ico and Yorda are very interesting characters with an unknown past trapped in a mysterious castle. This would lend itself very well for a movie that explores their sitiation.

Half Life, but the movie can't focus on Gordon Freeman. If he talked in a movie, it would be killed for fans, and what kind of a movie has a silent main character? I'd like to see the experiences of the Marine unit that raided the facility and/or scientists + security personell escaping from the facility. But VALVe have rejected all scripts unforunatley becasue they don't want it ruined by a shitty movie.

Metal Gear Solid is another one, but they cancelled the movie adaption for the same reasons.

Why can't movies adapted from video games be good?

I vouch for Deus Ex or Metro 2033. I feel it'll be a ton easier on non-fans , unlike a movie of Half-Life, where either its gonna be about Black Mesa and the many mysteries or G-man narrating the story of the mute gordan

I'd have to kay Knights of the Old Republic 2. I don't understand why this game gets so much hate. Sure there's a lot of content missing in the end, but it still, in my opinion, is better than the first game in almost every way, including writing. KOTOR II has some of the best writing i've ever seen in a videogame. When I go back and look at KOTOR I, I realize that it doesn't have that much going for it besides the big twist, and Jolee. It's still one of my favorite games though. But yeah KOTOR II would be my choice
