Imagine that all the gaming companies of today have joined forces to make the best game ever and you are the leading designer. What would you do with an infinite bugdet and a massive workforce of artists and programmers. What kind of game would you make? I personally have never been asked what my perfect game would be like. Its hard to imagine come to think of it.
What would your perfect game be like? You dont have to do a long post saying exactly what it would be like (but you can if you want to) just sum up whats good about it and the things you hate that would be left out.
I would make a massive open world (The entire world) zombie survival game. I dont think it would be an MMO but it would be interesting.
"the entire world is zombies except for iceland, off you go" and you start in australia or something.
Id make it realistic with supplies and stuff but it would have fast travel. No one wants to spend 10 in game days sailing. Id love to play a game like that.
Buildings and shiz would be open to to just wander into for items and shiz. You would have to scope out a building to stay the night in and reinforce it.
Im thinking an i am legend feel really, post apocolyptia. I dislike horror games that have "safe points". Points where youa re 100% safe from any enemy. I want a game where they can ALWAYS reach you and you always have to be on guard. Towns in oblvion give the feeling of saftey and in a survival horro thats the kind of thing you want to eliminate. All items would be useable (eg a bar could be raided for drinks to make molotovs out of).
I hate it in games where theres a problem (a locked door) and the solution is easy (burn it down, kick it down, use an object to bash it) but the proggramer wants you to play by his rules and so a key is neccessary. I want a game with your own rules. Want to clear a path through some wooden buildings? Burn em down.
What would you do?
