If you could only have 3 programs installed on your computer, which would you choose and why?

@Everyone who just said the programs
...and why?
@Everyone who said Microsoft Office or OpenOffice
Why not use Google Docs and gain an extra program?

Internet explorer is terrible. Please switch to Firefox or Chrome.

Steam, Chrome, and um... augh. torn between pesterchum and league of legends....
I'll have to go with pesterchum, because then I can talk to my buddies. I'll just get dota 2 from steam when that comes out. that's close enough.
I mean hypothetically if this happened.

Ommwriter, Chrome, and a PSX emulator. I can get all my music through chrome, where as I need a text editor for my job and a PSX emulator for my job. Luckily you counted OS's because otherwise I would need to add Task Manager.

MS Word for work, Chrome for the internet, and Steam for gaming (I'll lost some games, but oh well)

I thought about getting a media player, but I'll just use youtube or Google music :/

Goddamnit, didn't think of that for some reason (even though I thought of using Google Music instead of a media player >_<). Switch out MS Word for VLC.

Norton Anti-Virus is also kinda crappy in terms of using too much CPU and finding things that aren't actually viruses.

VLC Player as it'll play literally any file format on the planet (Movies and Music), then Steam (as it also has it's own browser =D) and openoffice.

Might as well throw the goddamn thing out a window, honestly. Unless you just mean one of my laptops (in which case, Google Chrome, VLC media player and ZSNES running under Linux Mint 12). My main desktop would be useless under that limit, though... I have many computers.

All I need, and indeed use, these days are - Microsoft Word, Firefox and Vuze.

One for writing, one for browsing/researching, one for television entertainment. But being that I am very old and come from a time from before computers were common, I can really live without all of them. Those are just three I use most days.
