I only have enough to pre-order one, but it's a tough choice! My friends will play Halo Reach and Gears of War 3 will take forever to be released. Oohh >.<!

gears no doubt. Fan of the series, fan of epic games, fan of double barrel shotguns. I've kinda moved beyond halo anyways; i haven't played it in years.
Screw halo reach. Its pretty much just like ALL the others. Oh wait, sorry, you get a little animation when you melee someone from behind.
Gears of war never gets old, and its the final chapter too the trilogy, I friggin wanna know whats gonna happen!
So would I rather have a prequel to a over-rated, run-n-gun? Or a game where I can chainsaw people in half or use them as a meat shield while fighting giant monsters.
EDIT: The new gears supposable has alot of new elements. Rumored RPG assppects of the such.
And if you ever change your mind you can always just change the pre-order.

Halo REACH. Gears is one of the most terrible games I've ever owned, and I LOVED the first one. The second one just killed it for me, though. FIX YOUR STORYLINE EPIC GAMES!

While I love gears of War, I play a lot of local splitscreen with my brothers, so Halo works much better for that situation. Though I do enjoy Gear's gameplay more.

Reach. Hands down. Gears is... interesting, but I've never been a fan. I guess the same argument can be made for the other side by someone else, so I'll have to agree with this guy on it.

Not to start a flame war or anything, but I was genuinely suprised at how many people here are waiting to see what happens at the end of gears of war. I mean, I like the games there fun and everything but the story was never very strong at all

I would get Gears to finish the story arc, but Halo for the multiplayer. I've never been great at Gears online and I don't really care much about the new Halo's story.
Since I could care less about the multiplayer I'd go with Halo Reach. While the plot in halo is fairly mild most times it's usually told well. Because lol gears story.
